Katie Keith is our first Xi Lady Spotlight with our blog! Katie is our Membership Vice President, so she plays a vital role in the recruitment process. We asked Katie a few questions about recruitment: what is her role, her favorite part, what women going through can expect, and some advice to those women going through. Let see what Katie had to share! 

1. What do you do as Membership Vice President?
As MVP, I prepare the chapter for the week of recruitment! I coordinate the room decoration and flow, outfits, bid day theme and so much more!

2. What's your favorite part of recruitment?
My favorite part about recruitment is Sisterhood and Values Day. I love getting to share what Alpha Xi is all about and everything that our chapter has to offer. This is a wonderful representation of what anyone can expect to experience as part of our chapter. 


3. What are you most looking forward to this recruitment?
I am most looking forward to BID DAY!!! of course! Seeing all of the hard work everyone has put in and seeing the new members run home is the most exciting part of the week! The big smiles on everyone's faces as they welcome new sisters home!

4. What can the women going through recruitment expect?
As a Potential New Member, I would expect to meet so many new faces and friends during recruitment week. You won't end up in the same letters as everyone you meet, but you will make life long friendships that will last. 

5. What advice can you give the women coming through recruitment?
My best advice to any woman going through recruitment is to remember who you are and go wherever feels most comfortable and like home to you. No matter if your best friend ends up in different letters, y'all will still be best friends. Choosing your home can be difficult, but trust your heart.

Let's Talk Xi!

The sisterhood of women that lives within our hearts.  The loyalty and friendships of which we are a part. Alpha Xi Delta holds a special place in all our sisters hearts, and we would like to share it with you! Are you going to the Panhellenic Summer Social? Not sure what that is... Let's talk Xi! Still on the fence about going through sorority recruitment this fall? Then mark you calendar for July 28 ! The Panhellenic Summer Social is a great way to "get your feet wet" with the recruitment process and the sorority women on campus.  What to expect: In the past, the Summer Social has been a busy busy day! All of the women who are going through or are thinking of going through recruitment show up and get name tags to start the day. After you're shown your seat, you'll get to chat with the other women at your table! What classes are you taking? What are you majoring in? Do you know anyone else going through? Chat it up!
