Let's talk Xi...

What was most memorable to you when you went through recruitment?

The most memorable part of recruitment to me was feeling myself start to truly open up to the women in Alpha Xi Delta. It was preference day for me that I  knew Alpha Xi Delta was my home when I was connecting with my future sisters.

Why did you choose Alpha Xi Delta?

I went through recruitment only knowing my roommate in Jacksonville so I was looking for a group of girls who would genuinely love and support me and would help me be the best version of myself. They took the pressure off of me when I walked in the room and let me be my true self in our conversations.

What advice can you give a woman coming through?

The best advice I can give a PNM is to follow your heart and be your true self. It is easy to feel like you need to fit a certain mold when visiting several different sororities and being around so many women at one time. As long as you remain your true self and don't let the pressure get to you, you will find your home that you are meant to be in!


How lucky are we to have Madi as a sister?! Keep shining, sis.

Sorority Girls Can Change the World Let's Talk Xi... with Makayla Brown! Our sister, Makayla, is a World Changing Ambassador for Sorority Girls Can Change the World. Who knew a girl from Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, could change the world one day? What is Sorority Girls Can Change the World ? I'm glad you asked! Sorority Girls Can Chang the World is a book that Katie Bulmer wrote about her story and how much sorority women can make an impact no matter where they go! Katie started to wonder her senior year of college if there was more to life than "cute shoes and Jell-O shots." Since then she has been a world changer and an inspiration for sorority women everywhere. Her book talks about dating, community, and how we can help others. Are you going to the Panhellenic Summer Social? Not sure what that is... Let's talk Xi! Still on the fence about going through sorority recruitment this fall? Then mark you calendar for July 28 ! The Panhellenic Summer Social is a great way to "get your feet wet" with the recruitment process and the sorority women on campus.  What to expect: In the past, the Summer Social has been a busy busy day! All of the women who are going through or are thinking of going through recruitment show up and get name tags to start the day. After you're shown your seat, you'll get to chat with the other women at your table! What classes are you taking? What are you majoring in? Do you know anyone else going through? Chat it up!
