A Sisterhood So True

What do you want in a sisterhood? Lets talk Xi...


Every sorority has a unique sisterhood! And sisterhood is different to every sister. Throughout the summer we will be spotlighting sisters so they can share what sisterhood means to them! For now we will stick to sisterhood fun that we have in our chapter!

Throughout the year we have little events to hangout together because sometimes school gets to be a lot and we need some sister time to de-stress. 

Pajamas and pancakes was a personal favorite of mine. We had a great time eating pancakes and fruit in our pajamas! We ended the night by watching a movie and of course we had to have a photo op!

We learned some killer self defense moves at chapter one night!

There are always fun mixers to go to throughout the school year, too. A mixer is when our sorority pairs with a fraternity on campus where we dress up according to theme and play some fun games! It's a great way to get closer to your sisters and get to know the brothers of the fraternity you are paired with!

Of course sisterhood comes into play when you get your Big! A week of guessing and wondering, candy and shirts. Then FINALLY! you head to reveal to find out who your big is and who your family is. We are all one big happy family, but your big is your role model. She teaches you about the sorority and shows you the way. She is always there to help you when you need it. 

Sisterhood is so much more than just hanging out. Sisterhood is being there for each other through the tough times. Sisterhood is helping each other study for finals and pulling an all nighter at the library. Sisterhood is going on random trips to Taco Bell because sometimes you just need a midnight snack. Sisterhood is all this and so much more!

Sorority Girls Can Change the World Let's Talk Xi... with Makayla Brown! Our sister, Makayla, is a World Changing Ambassador for Sorority Girls Can Change the World. Who knew a girl from Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, could change the world one day? What is Sorority Girls Can Change the World ? I'm glad you asked! Sorority Girls Can Chang the World is a book that Katie Bulmer wrote about her story and how much sorority women can make an impact no matter where they go! Katie started to wonder her senior year of college if there was more to life than "cute shoes and Jell-O shots." Are you going to the Panhellenic Summer Social? Not sure what that is... Let's talk Xi! Still on the fence about going through sorority recruitment this fall? Then mark you calendar for July 28 ! The Panhellenic Summer Social is a great way to "get your feet wet" with the recruitment process and the sorority women on campus.  What to expect: In the past, the Summer Social has been a busy busy day! All of the women who are going through or are thinking of going through recruitment show up and get name tags to start the day. After you're shown your seat, you'll get to chat with the other women at your table! What classes are you taking? What are you majoring in? Do you know anyone else going through? Chat it up!
