Philanthropy? What is that? I'm glad you asked!
Let's talk Xi...

The way I view philanthropy is giving back to an organization to better the lives of others. (Websters Dictionary goes into a different wordy definition.) Every sorority has a philanthropy that they raise money and awareness for!


Alpha Xi Delta's philanthropy is Autism Speaks, and boy do we have a lot to talk about! We are working to promote understanding and acceptance of autism and raise funds by holding AmaXIng Challenges each year. Our chapter hosts a color run during the fall semester every year. This year we will be having a GLOW RUN!!! 


We also host another event called Taco Xi where we sell tacos and shirts on the square in Jacksonville. Its a community event for people to come hang out and listen to live music while enjoying tacos from a local restaurant. 


Furry friends are always welcome!


We host several other events throughout the year like our puppy kissing booth on Valentines Day!


What is Autism Speaks? 
"Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions."

Alpha Xi Delta nationally has raised more than $8,000,000 for Autism Speaks.


1 in 59 children is diagnosed with autism.
1 in 37 boys is diagnosed with autism.
A child is diagnosed with autism every 8 minutes.
Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average.

Alpha Xi Delta is raising money and awareness to promote acceptance and understanding for these individuals and their families. 


Autism Speaks enhances likes today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.

Sorority Girls Can Change the World Let's Talk Xi... with Makayla Brown! Our sister, Makayla, is a World Changing Ambassador for Sorority Girls Can Change the World. Who knew a girl from Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, could change the world one day? What is Sorority Girls Can Change the World ? I'm glad you asked! Sorority Girls Can Chang the World is a book that Katie Bulmer wrote about her story and how much sorority women can make an impact no matter where they go! Katie started to wonder her senior year of college if there was more to life than "cute shoes and Jell-O shots." Since then she has been a world changer and an inspiration for sorority women everywhere. Her book talks about dating, community, and how we can help others. Panhellenic Summer Social

Are you going to the Panhellenic Summer Social? Not sure what that is... Let's talk Xi! Still on the fence about going through sorority recruitment this fall? Then mark you calendar for July 28 ! The Panhellenic Summer Social is a great way to "get your feet wet" with the recruitment process and the sorority women on campus.  What to expect: In the past, the Summer Social has been a busy busy day! All of the women who are going through or are thinking of going through recruitment show up and get name tags to start the day. After you're shown your seat, you'll get to chat with the other women at your table! What classes are you taking? What are you majoring in? Do you know anyone else going through? Chat it up!
